My client are a top tier law firm boasting world wide offices and they are looking for an experienced Construction Solicitor to join their team.

They cover a large spectrum across the construction and engineering industry, including high end national and international companies.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Construction Solicitor who is looking to progress in their next career move as progression in the role to Senior Associate will be encouraged.

This role of Construction Solicitor will be principally based in the Liverpool office however they fully embrace our agile working policy, flexible working and part time working. The post involves principally non-contentious work with some contentious work for employers and contractors, construction professionals and funders.

Client liaison - direct contact developing the relationship

Managing/assisting with non-contentious files

Reviewing and reporting on all forms of construction and engineering contracts

Drafting and negotiating building contracts

Due diligence of construction contracts

Preparing professional appointments and warranties and manage their completion

Preparing performance bonds and parent company guarantees

Preparing reports and due diligence

Drafting letters of advice/instructions to clients/experts

Assist in dispute resolution through litigation, adjudication, mediation

Preparation of documents in proceedings, including claims, witness statements and other documents

Essential Candidate Requirements

Law degree or equivalent

Previous construction experience

Dispute resolution including adjudication

Excellent organisational skills

Demonstrates an understanding of clients, colleagues and others

Adheres to guidelines and procedures

Ability to interact and communicate with the client and keep them up to date

The ability to work as part of a team and independent;y
