Conveyancing Paralegal – Shrewsbury
 
My client, a well-established and expanding full-service law firm with offices across the West Midlands, is offering an exciting opportunity for two Conveyancing Paralegals to join their Property team in Shrewsbury. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This role is ideal for paralegals who are looking to develop their careers in property law. If you have experience in residential, commercial, or real estate law as a legal assistant or paralegal, this opportunity could be the next step for you.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Deliver efficient and chargeable legal work that contributes to the completion of home ownership transactions for a variety of clients, including residential sales and purchases, leasehold matters, and commercial transactions.
Manage and prioritise caseloads, ensuring timely progression of transactions while keeping clients updated.
Draft and prepare legal documents, applying an understanding of the relevant information and legal requirements.
Provide clear legal advice to resolve client queries and advance transactions in a professional and effective manner.
Attend external client meetings and networking events as needed.
Ensure that all client and case data is accurately maintained and updated on relevant systems.
Conduct legal research to support ongoing matters and contribute to the preparation of high-quality articles and reports for publication.
Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, managing expectations, answering queries, and providing regular updates on case progress.

Requirements:

  • CILEX qualification/Law Degree (desirable but not essential)
  • LPC/SQE qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Previous experience as a paralegal in residential, commercial property, or real estate law is essential
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work well within a team and align with the firm’s values
  • An interest in long-term career development within the department
