Are you a Costs Assistant? A firm based in Lincoln are looking for a Cost assistant to join their well-respected family department. The role could require some travel to other offices so a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is required. The position would be suited to a confident person with excellent interpersonal and organisation skills. Candidates that have previous experience in Legal Aid Costing or have worked within a busy family department with experience of legal aid would be suited for this position.

the role would include:

* Dealing with enquiries and advising fee earners on a variety of legal aid matters and ledgers

* Preparing and submitting Legal Help fixed fee claims to the LAA

* Preparing and submitting Legal Help escape fee claims to the LAA

* Reporting new Matter Start figures to the LAA on a monthly basis.

* Preparing Family High Costs Case Plans and Final Claims.

* Reviewing costs limitations, applying for payments on account and cost limitations increases.

* Preparing fixed fee claims in Private Law, Public Law and Domestic Abuse.

The salary on offer is dependant on experience but will range from £18,000 to £25,000.
