Criminal Solicitor – Sexual Offences
A leading law firm is seeking a Criminal Solicitor to join their specialist Sexual Offences Team based in Leeds. This is a unique opportunity to focus exclusively on sexual offences and serious crime within a supportive and highly experienced team.
The successful candidate will manage a mixed caseload of privately funded and occasional legal aid cases, providing expert advice and representation to clients nationwide. There is no out-of-hours or duty requirement, making this an excellent opportunity for a solicitor seeking a specialist role with balance and variety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent and advise clients in complex sexual offence and criminal defence cases.
- Attend court hearings and voluntary police station interviews across England and Wales.
- Work collaboratively with a dedicated team of criminal defence solicitors and caseworkers.
- Deliver outstanding client service while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.
About You:
- Qualified Criminal Solicitor (duty accreditation not required).
- Strong background in criminal defence law; experience with sexual offence cases is highly desirable.
- Excellent advocacy, analytical, and case management skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
- Open to hearing from Crown Court caseworkers or Police Station Representatives looking to specialise in this area.
