My client is a leader in financial services and estate planning, and they have a brand new position based within their Estate Planning team for a Technical Insight Manager.

If you're a subject matter expert in the field of Estate Planning and have experience in wills and trusts then this could be the opportunity for you.

As a subject matter expert in Estate Planning, you will support the delivery of strategic product, proposition, process and system developments, working with both internal stakeholders and third-party partners by providing technical support, supporting the review and appointment of third-party products and proposition partners, and effectively account managing the relationship on a day-to-day basis, alongside managing the systems, proactively and reactively identifying enhancements, submitting Change Requests and managing and coordinating the change process across potentially more than one entity.

You will also be required to understand the sales and operational processes for the end-to-end customer journey, across all roles and functions within Estate Planning.

Responsibilities of the role include:

* Working closely and support the Operational Insight and Training Manager in their delivery of the business unit's Learning and Development strategy.

* Product manage all in-house (Wills, Will Trusts, Will Storage and LPAs) and third party (Scottish & Northern Ireland Estate Planning, In Life Trusts, Regulated / Specialist Trusts, Executorship, Estate Administration & Probate, Funeral Plans, Professional Attorney & Trustee and IHT Planning / HNW advice) propositions & services, by:

* Consulting with stakeholders, defining the technical specification of the products & packages the business sells and ensure this aligns with the questions and advice given to clients during Fact Find & Instruction.

* Producing and maintaining a 'Product Bible', that documents all products, propositions, prices and policies, from which literature, sales aids, web-content and training materials can be developed.

* When supporting projects and initiatives, gather requirements from relevant stakeholders and liaise with change functions (Business Management, Project Management and IT) and external partners.

* For every system and process development, produce process maps (or amend existing ones) and recommend training requirements.

* On behalf of Estate Planning stakeholders, review and recommend third party training, CPD and qualifications.

* Monitor industry and regulatory trends, ensuring stakeholders are updated and informed on any legislative changes and emerging opportunities and risks, along with auditing the end-to-end customer service being provided is adhering to the latest industry best practice and standard.

* Alert stakeholders if any industry changes affect previous advice given to customers and liaise with stakeholders in taking rectifying actions

* Provide an ongoing review of industry pricing, propositions and best practice, ensuring all stakeholders are updated and informed.

* Devise a succession plan to create by leveraging the talent from within the Sales function.

* Adopt a proactive and collegiate approach to management and supporting internal and external partners and stakeholders.

* Adopt a proactive and academic approach to maintaining SME expertise, best practice principles, industry knowledge and insight.

Essential Skills:

* Extensive experience of estate planning within a solicitor's practice (regulated) or will-writing / estate planning business (non-regulated).

* Either legally qualified/registered and have or are working toward a significant Estate Planning qualification (e.g. STEP Certificate in Trusts & Estates).

* Proven experience of managing and developing processes and procedures.

* Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships.

* IT skills including a good understanding of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Systems and Estate Planning Systems/Software.

* Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to enthuse others in their area of expertise.

* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, supporting a culture of ownership and teamwork.

* Ability to influence and manage stakeholders.

* Enthusiasm & passion to succeed and help grow a business.
