Practice Director based near Birmingham required for Administration / Business Development


To prepare agendas for and to attend and participate in Finance &
Management meetings as well as general Partners meetings
To liaise with Managing Partner to oversee smooth running of and expansion
of the Firm
Business strategy, improvement and development
Liaise as required with external accountants, SRA, Law Society and external

To liaise with Accounts manager and oversee smooth financial management
of the Firm including cash flow, relationship with Banks and to ensure
compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules
To oversee Professional Indemnity and general insurance renewals
To oversee HR, Marketing and IT departments
To oversee maintenance and repairs of buildings, liaise with suppliers
To ensure compliance with GDPR
To oversee/assist with recruitment
To oversee/manage Payroll


To oversee compliance with Lexcel and to maintain Lexcel manuals and
Liaising with external assessors


Negotiable but will include Pension, healthcare, on-site parking and mobile


Qualifications MBA or equivalent preferred

Degree and/or post graduate qualification in business and finance essential
Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a senior manager in business.
Experience of working in a law firm preferred
Personal Skills Good interpersonal and organisational skills and ability to manage multiple
projects and to communicate with staff, Partners and third parties (both
verbal and in writing).

Must be computer literate, understand principles of computer networking
and cloud applications and have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft
Office Suite

Ability to self and time manage and be an effective delegator.

Miscellaneous Clean driving licence and car owner to travel between offices
