We’re working with a forward-thinking, highly regarded Criminal Defence team that specialises in some of the most sensitive and sophisticated criminal matters, including serious sexual offences. About the Role

• You’ll join a close-knit, dynamic team of talented solicitors known for their compassion, diligence, and calm approach under pressure. The work is diverse and intellectually challenging – from handling general criminal matters to assisting with high-profile or sensitive sexual offence cases.
• Facing a sexual offence allegation such as rape, sexual assault, indecent images, or offences involving children is an extremely serious and distressing experience. This team represents clients through some of the most difficult moments of their lives, providing guidance, reassurance, and first-class legal support when it matters most.
• If you haven’t had exposure to this area yet, don’t worry – full guidance and mentoring are available. What matters most is your empathy, integrity, and motivation to learn.
• Some travel (around once a week) adds variety to your work and helps you build relationships across the wider criminal defence community.

Who You Are:

• A Criminal Solicitor (NQ–2 PQE) with a strong sense of empathy and professionalism
• Genuinely interested in developing within the area of sexual offences
• Confident, compassionate, and client-focused — someone who can inspire trust and calm under pressure
• A team player who’s happy to roll up their sleeves and get involved
• Comfortable with occasional travel and the variety that comes with it
