I’m currently recruiting for a well-established Top 200 law firm with a strong reputation across Lincolnshire and the Midlands. With roots tracing back to 1856, this firm is known for its deep commitment to client service and longstanding presence in the legal industry.

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join the firm’s respected and well-resourced Private Client Department at their Sleaford office.

This role is ideal for someone who is confident and proactive, with experience across a wide range of private client matters, including:

  • Drafting of Wills, including those involving complex family situations and trusts
  • Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning
  • Preparing and registering LPAs and EPAs
  • Court of Protection work
  • Administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Identifying and supporting trust administration requirements

The successful candidate will also work alongside the firm’s marketing team to help promote services and build long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality service and advice to new and existing clients
  • Develop new business opportunities and cross-referrals across departments
  • Meet agreed fee income and performance targets
  • Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and technical skills
  • Exercise financial control through effective billing and time management
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and internal quality standards

Person Specification Essential:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with private client experience
  • Confident in managing a full caseload independently
  • Strong background in Wills, LPAs, estate administration, and tax planning
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Understanding of Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors’ Accounts Rules

Desirable:

  • STEP-qualified or working toward the qualification
  • Experience working with high-net-worth clients or agricultural estates
  • Ability to supervise junior team members
  • Advocacy or public speaking experience
  • A client following or strong professional network
