Private Client Solicitor / Legal Executive | Kettering | 5+ PQE

I’m currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm who are looking to add an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to their team in Kettering.

This is a really good opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can manage their own caseload, get involved in more technical work and play an important role within a growing team.

The position can be offered on either a full-time or part-time basis, which could be ideal for someone looking for a little more flexibility.

The Role

You’ll be dealing with a varied Private Client caseload, including:

  • Wills and estate planning

  • Probate and estate administration

  • Powers of Attorney

  • Inheritance Tax planning

  • Trust creation and administration

As well as managing your own files, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a bit more responsibility within the team. This will include supporting and supervising junior members of the team, sharing your technical knowledge and helping to maintain high standards of client care and compliance.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Team and be an important part of a friendly and collaborative department.

What are they looking for?

Ideally, you’ll be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with around 5+ years’ PQE and have a strong background in Private Client work. That said, they’re open to being flexible for the right person.

You’ll ideally have good technical experience across Wills, Probate, IHT and Trusts, and be comfortable providing guidance and support to more junior members of the team.

Just as importantly, they’re looking for someone who is:

  • Approachable and personable

  • Well organised and commercially aware

  • Confident building relationships with clients and professional contacts

  • Keen to support and develop others

  • Passionate about delivering excellent client service

  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively

STEP qualification would be an advantage but isn't essential.
