About the Role: This role involves managing a varied and busy caseload, working closely with a range of clients including a major international group with €11 billion turnover. You’ll be involved in every stage of the litigation process, with plenty of scope to develop your own client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on litigation risk and strategy.
  • Acting as the UK commercial disputes contact for a large international client, liaising with in-house Counsel.
  • Managing cases through to trial, including drafting pleadings, statements, trial bundles, and instructing Counsel.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Drafting pre-action correspondence, Part 36 offers, and settlement agreements.
  • Dealing with breach of contract, restrictive covenant, defamation, and harassment claims.
  • Advising on debt recovery and insolvency proceedings.
  • Participating in mediation, adjudication, and other forms of ADR.
  • Providing accurate costs advice and maintaining strong financial performance.
  • Using legal databases to research and prepare legal opinions.
  • Supporting internal compliance processes where required.

About You:

  • Qualified Solicitor (3+ PQE preferred, but all applications considered).
  • Experience across a wide range of commercial disputes.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially aware and client-focused.
  • Confident supervising or mentoring junior lawyers.
  • Well-organised, proactive, and a strong communicator.
