You’ll join a team that operates with a national outlook, handling high-value and complex private client matters, while offering clear scope for progression in an environment where future leadership is actively encouraged.
The Role
You’ll manage a stimulating and varied caseload, advising individuals, families, business owners, and landowners on all aspects of succession planning, wealth structuring, and estate matters. You’ll also play a key role in supporting the wider team’s growth, mentoring colleagues, and engaging with new and long-standing clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, commercial legal advice across a range of private client matters
- Manage and develop client relationships with care, professionalism, and discretion
- Provide technical leadership and support to junior team members
- Work closely with peers to support departmental strategy and performance
- Proactively contribute to business development initiatives
- Ensure work is compliant with internal processes and regulatory standards
- Support ongoing client relationship management and cross-referrals
About You
You are a capable and confident Private Client Solicitor who brings a mix of technical strength, commercial acumen, and a people-first approach. You may already be operating at Senior Associate level or are ready to step into that space, with long-term progression front of mind.
You will ideally have:
- A minimum of 5–6 years PQE in Private Client law
- Strong expertise in complex wills, trusts, tax, and estate planning
- Experience advising high-net-worth clients and working on matters with agricultural or cross-border elements
- A natural ability to develop strong relationships—internally and externally
- A commercial mindset and proactive approach to developing work
- Excellent communication and drafting skills
- A collaborative attitude and an interest in mentoring or team leadership
- A commitment to delivering consistently high levels of service
