I am currently working with a well-established and highly respected commercial law firm in Liverpool that is looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Partner to join its Property & Construction team.
This represents an excellent opportunity for an established Commercial Property Partner, or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to step up, who can bring a strong network of contacts and is keen to play a key role in the continued growth and development of a successful practice.
The Opportunity
Joining an experienced and highly regarded team, you will advise a broad range of clients including developers, investors, lenders, corporate occupiers, landowners and property management companies. The team acts on a wide variety of high-quality matters and has built a strong reputation through longstanding client relationships and repeat instructions.
The successful candidate will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and will be encouraged to play an active role in business development and expanding the firm's presence across existing and emerging markets.
This opportunity would suit a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys building long-term client relationships and mentoring junior lawyers while contributing strategically to the growth of the department.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the leadership and continued growth of the Property team.
- Managing a broad range of commercial property transactions.
- Advising developers, lenders, investors, landowners, charities and corporate clients.
- Handling acquisitions and disposals, commercial leases, agreements for lease, option agreements, conditional contracts, development work and ancillary property matters.
- Advising on utility easements, Section 106 Agreements, SDLT considerations and Land Registry matters.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.
- Driving business development initiatives and identifying opportunities for further growth.
- Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers within the team.
- Delivering practical, commercially focused advice and exceptional client service.
About You
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with at least 10 years' PQE and substantial experience in commercial property law.
You will ideally possess:
- Proven experience operating at Partner level or as a senior lawyer with leadership responsibilities.
- A strong client following and demonstrable track record of generating and retaining work.
- Extensive experience across all aspects of commercial property transactions, including development work and more complex matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for business development.
- The ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and referrers.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative and supportive approach to leadership.
