Conveyancing Assistant/Paralegal

Are you an experienced Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal looking for your next opportunity with a well-established and supportive law firm?

We are currently working with a highly regarded law firm that is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant / Paralegal to join its Residential Conveyancing team based in North Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting fee earners on a busy caseload of residential property transactions. You will play an important role in helping to ensure transactions progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

The Role

Working closely with Conveyancers and Solicitors, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing day-to-day support on a busy residential conveyancing caseload
• Opening new files and carrying out initial client onboarding and compliance checks
• Preparing and issuing contract packs and other legal documentation
• Ordering searches and reviewing incoming documentation
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, solicitors and other third parties
• Providing clients with updates throughout the conveyancing process
• Assisting with exchanges and completions
• Managing correspondence and maintaining accurate case management records
• Supporting fee earners to ensure files progress efficiently and deadlines are met

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Paralegal or Legal Assistant within Residential Conveyancing
• A good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
• Strong organisational and administrative skills
• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with clients and third parties
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy environment
• A proactive approach and strong attention to detail
• Experience using a case management system would be advantageous

Location: North Manchester

Salary: £26,000 - £30,000, dependent on experience
