I am working with a well-established law firm that is looking to strengthen its Crime team with 2 experienced Crime Solicitors.

The firm is particularly interested in Duty Solicitors, although strong criminal defence experience will be considered for the right candidate.

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to join a supportive team where there is genuine scope to develop their career and take on increased responsibility over the next 2-3 years.

The Role

You will handle a varied criminal caseload, representing clients throughout the criminal justice process and undertaking advocacy where appropriate.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Strong experience within criminal defence.
  • Duty Solicitor accreditation, or be working towards qualification.
  • Experience handling a broad range of criminal matters.
  • Strong advocacy and client management skills.
  • The ability to manage a busy caseload independently.
  • A genuine interest in developing their career within Crime.
  • A willingness to contribute to the wider team and take on additional responsibility as the team develops.

Career Development

The firm is looking to make a strategic hire and is keen to identify someone with the potential to progress into a leadership role within 2-3 years.

For the right individual, there is therefore an opportunity to build on their existing experience, take on greater responsibility and play an important role in the continued development of the Crime department.

Location & Flexibility

The firm is open to considering candidates from across the wider North West, including Manchester and Preston, with some flexibility around travel for the right person.

The firm is open to discussing salary based on the individual's experience, Duty Solicitor status and overall suitability for the role.
