I'm working on a really interesting opportunity for a Criminal Defence Solicitor to join an established and well-regarded legal practice in the Telford area.

My client is keen to speak with solicitors who are passionate about Criminal Defence and looking to build their career within a supportive, experienced and well-established team.

They're ideally looking for someone with experience in Criminal Defence, with Duty Solicitor status being desirable but not essential. They're also open to hearing from NQs and solicitors at an early stage of their career who are looking for the right environment to develop their skills and experience.

The role

You'll be joining an experienced Criminal team and handling a varied caseload across criminal defence, with the opportunity to develop your experience across the full lifecycle of criminal matters.

Depending on your experience, you may already be undertaking police station and Magistrates' Court work, or you may be looking for a firm where you can build your expertise with the support and guidance of experienced colleagues.

What are they looking for?

The ideal candidate will be:

• A qualified Solicitor, NQ upwards.

• Experienced in Criminal Defence, although this will depend on the candidate's level of qualification and experience.

• Duty Solicitor qualified (desirable, but not essential).

• Confident dealing directly with clients and building strong relationships.

• Commercially aware and able to manage a busy caseload.

• Passionate about Criminal Defence and committed to delivering excellent client care.

• Keen to develop their skills and build a long-term career within the team.
