Family Solicitor

A well-established family law team is looking to bring in a Solicitor level candidate to join their busy practice, working across a varied private family caseload.

The role

You'll be managing your own files with available supervision if needed, covering a broad range of private family matters including:

• Divorce proceedings
• Financial remedy disputes
• Civil partnership breakdowns
• Cohabitation and unmarried couple disputes

Please note, this position does not include child law or childcare work, as those matters are handled by a separate team.

What you'll be doing

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Supporting and progressing new client enquiries
• Assisting with legal surgery / drop-in advice sessions
• Fee-earning work across your own caseload
• Day-to-day administration of client matters
• Legal Aid funding applications where relevant
• Supporting outreach and marketing activity, including building relationships with local referrers and organisations
• Participating in new enquiry and advice session rotas

What we're looking for

• 2-8 years' PQE in family law
• Experience running your own caseload
• Strong advocacy experience (essential)
• Confidence working independently while being part of a team
• A willingness to get involved in outreach, surgeries and external advice sessions
