Build Something Brilliant From the Ground Up
Leicestershire / Nottinghamshire | Full-time or Part-time | Confidential Opportunity
Are you a Family Solicitor who wants more than just another job and another caseload?
What if your next move gave you the opportunity to help build a new office, develop your own client base and genuinely shape what that office becomes?
I’m working with a well-established, highly regarded private Family Law firm, which has been growing organically since 2008 and is now looking at the next stage of its growth.
They’re looking to speak confidentially with a Qualified Family Solicitor who is excited by the opportunity to help establish and grow a new presence in Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire.
This isn’t simply about filling a desk. It’s about finding someone who wants to make their mark.
The Opportunity
You’ll have the opportunity to help establish and develop a new office, with the backing of an established specialist Family Law brand and the support that comes with it.
As the firm is investing in launching a new office, the successful Solicitor will initially be expected to be office-based around 4 days per week.
As the caseload develops, there will be scope to discuss hybrid working, including an agreed drafting day from home.
Full-time or part-time working, flexible start and finish times and alternative working patterns can also be discussed.
Who are they looking for?
A Qualified Family Solicitor with a solid Family Law background who is ambitious, commercially minded and enjoys building relationships.
Perhaps you’re someone who wants to:
-
Build your own client base
-
Grow a department
-
Have greater autonomy
-
Help establish a new office
-
Develop your career within a growing firm
Experience across divorce and separation, financial remedy, private children, TOLATA/cohabitation or pre- and post-nuptial agreements would be relevant.
Experience or an interest in Private Client and/or Court of Protection work would also be welcomed.
You won’t be starting from scratch
You’ll have the backing of an established team, including close supervision and support from an Associate Solicitor based at the existing Melton Mowbray office, regular file reviews and access to colleagues across the wider firm.
You’ll also benefit from:
-
Administrative, compliance and operational support
-
Central marketing and business-development support
-
An established specialist Family Law brand
-
Professional supervision and support
-
Opportunities to develop both technical and commercial skills
About the firm
This is a private Family Law firm established in 2008, which has grown organically through reputation and strong client relationships.
The firm has been recognised through Leicestershire’s Best Solicitors 2025 and has also been a finalist in national awards.
Alongside Family Law, the firm also undertakes Wills & Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work.
What’s on offer?
Alongside competitive remuneration based on experience, benefits include:
-
20 days’ annual leave + bank holidays
-
Christmas office closure
-
Additional annual leave through length of service
-
Workplace pension
-
Death-in-service cover
-
Health cash plan with 24/7 remote doctor access
-
Paid birthday day off
-
Discretionary rewards
-
Potential Associate Bonus Scheme
-
Flexible working arrangements where operationally possible
The firm is also open to discussing temporary adjustments to working hours, where client and business requirements allow, including during school holidays.
Could this be your next move?
This could be more than simply joining another Family Law team.
You could help establish a new office, build a client base, grow a team and ultimately influence where the firm goes next.
If you’re a Qualified Family Solicitor in Leicestershire or Nottinghamshire and this sounds like the kind of opportunity you’ve been waiting for, I’d love to hear from you.
Confidentiality assured
I’m handling this opportunity on a confidential basis, so if you’re quietly considering your next move, get in touch for an initial confidential conversation.
No CV will be sent anywhere without your permission. No pressure — just a conversation.
