Family Solicitor
- Kidderminster
- Permanent
- £40k per year
Are you a Family Solicitor looking for your next move? Perhaps you're keen to join an established team where you can manage a varied caseload, develop your expertise and have the opportunity to progress your career?
I'm working with a well-established firm in Kidderminster who are looking to welcome two Family Solicitors into their busy and established Family team.
These are fantastic opportunities for solicitors with experience in divorce and financial matters, particularly those who enjoy building strong client relationships and delivering practical, supportive advice during what can often be difficult times for their clients.
Experience of Legal Aid work would be a real advantage, although the firm would also be interested in speaking with someone who has a genuine interest in developing their experience in this area.
The opportunity
You'll be joining a busy team with a strong client base and a varied caseload, taking responsibility for your own matters and supporting clients through a range of family law issues.
Your work will include:
-
Divorce and separation
-
Financial remedy proceedings
-
Matrimonial finance matters
-
Property and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown
-
Negotiation and settlement
-
Court proceedings
-
Children matters, where appropriate
-
Legal Aid cases
You'll need to be confident managing your own caseload, providing clear and practical advice, and offering the kind of empathetic client care that makes a genuine difference.
What are they looking for?
Ideally, you'll be a qualified Family Solicitor with a solid grounding in divorce and financial matters. You'll also bring:
-
Relevant experience handling your own Family caseload
-
Experience of Legal Aid work, or an interest in developing this area
-
Strong communication and advocacy skills
-
A confident, approachable and empathetic manner
-
Good organisation and time-management skills
-
The ability to work independently while being a positive part of the wider team
The firm is keen to hear from solicitors who are committed to developing their careers, with longer-term opportunities to progress towards partnership for the right individual.
What's on offer?
-
23 days' annual leave, plus UK bank holidays
-
Additional ex gratia days for your birthday and Christmas
-
Pension scheme (following successful completion of probation)
-
Parking provided
-
Potential for hybrid working between home and the firm's offices
-
Sick pay
-
Discounted legal fees, subject to qualifying conditions
-
The opportunity to develop your career, with potential progression towards partnership
