Barrister / Solicitor Advocate – In-House Advocacy Team
Location: England & Wales | Flexible / Hybrid Working

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the in-house advocacy team of a well-established, nationally recognised law firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality legal services. With flexible working at the heart of its culture, this role is open to experienced advocates based anywhere across England & Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Barrister looking to move away from self-employment into a supportive employed role, or for a Solicitor Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience seeking to join a highly regarded advocacy team.

The Role

Joining a respected in-house advocacy team, you will provide advocacy services across a broad range of practice areas, including:

  • Commercial Litigation
  • Employment
  • Family
  • Personal Injury
  • Medical Negligence

Working closely with legal teams across the firm, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service through high-quality advocacy, legal drafting and advisory work. The position offers a varied caseload, with opportunities to appear both remotely and in person across a wide range of hearings.

You'll also benefit from dedicated administrative support, including diary and case management from an experienced advocacy clerk, allowing you to focus on delivering first-class legal representation.

This is a genuinely varied and rewarding role, offering regular courtroom advocacy, intellectually stimulating work and the opportunity to further develop your advocacy career within a collaborative and supportive environment.

About You

Applications are welcomed from qualified Barristers and Solicitor Advocates who can demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Barrister or Solicitor with Higher Rights of Audience.
  • Proven advocacy experience acting for either claimants or defendants.
  • Experience undertaking drafting, advisory work and client conferences.
  • Strong technical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Personal Injury, Family, Commercial Litigation or Employment.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with legal teams.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-focused approach.
