If you’ve had a fantastic learning and development journey with your current firm, have now qualified and are chomping at the bit to take the next step, this could be a really exciting opportunity to put your own stamp on a new team. 

This is a firm with a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal advice, but just as importantly, they genuinely invest in their people. You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative Criminal team, with plenty of variety and the opportunity to continue developing your skills as you progress through your career.

The role will give you exposure to a broad range of Criminal Defence work, including:

  • Legal Aid and privately funded matters
  • Magistrates’ Court advocacy
  • Crown Court matters
  • Police Station representation

The opportunity to build and manage your own caseload

What they’re looking for:

  • An NQ Solicitor with a genuine passion for Criminal Defence

  • Strong client care and communication skills

  • Good experience from your training contract / previous seat in Crime

  • Magistrates’ Court advocacy experience

  • Police Station Accreditation would be advantageous

  • Duty Status would be desirable, or a willingness to work towards it

  • Someone ambitious, organised, proactive and keen to make their mark

  • A real team player who wants to continue learning and developing
