We are currently working with a well-established and supportive high street legal aid firm seeking to appoint a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their Criminal Law team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior solicitor looking to build a long-term career within criminal defence, with structured training, clear progression, and full support towards key accreditations.
Training & Development
As part of your role, the firm will fully fund and support you in completing the following qualifications:
- Police Station Accreditation
- Magistrates’ Court Qualification
These accreditations are essential steps in your development as a criminal defence solicitor and will enable you to take on increasing levels of responsibility within the team.
Progression
This role offers a clear and structured progression pathway:
- Upon achieving Police Station Accreditation, salary typically increases to £38,000–£40,000
- Once duty qualified, salary is usually in the region of £42,000–£45,000, depending on performance and experience
This progression reflects both increased responsibility and the firm’s commitment to developing its junior lawyers.
