An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor (3–5 years’ PQE) to join a highly regarded, regional law firm with a strong reputation for excellence. This is a confidential role with a firm recognised in both The Legal 500 and Chambers UK, offering high-quality work and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive professionally and personally.

The Opportunity:

You will join a dynamic and award-winning Employment team operating across several locations in the West Midlands. Based in the firm’s Birmingham office, you’ll work closely with a highly respected divisional head and experienced colleagues across other offices. You’ll also benefit from hybrid working and a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters
  • Handling TUPE, redundancy, and restrictive covenant cases
  • Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
  • Representing clients in Employment Tribunal claims
  • Preparing contracts, staff handbooks, and other legal documentation
  • Conducting legal research and contributing to case strategy
  • Supporting business development activities, including networking and article writing
  • Mentoring junior team members

What We’re Looking For:

  • 3–5 years’ PQE in Employment Law
  • Strong tribunal experience and ability to handle complex matters
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to client and business development
  • Collaborative and team-focused mindset
