Legal Secretary & PA to Partner

Location: Warrington

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (7.5 hours per day plus a 30-minute lunch)

About the Role:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary and PA to join a busy legal department, providing dedicated support to a Partner within a fast-paced and professional environment.

This role is ideal for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong typing and administrative skills, who is confident managing a varied workload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and client service standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage correspondence, legal documents and court papers
  • Audio and copy typing of legal documentation to a high standard, with approximately 50% of working time dedicated to typing
  • Proactively liaise with clients, including taking messages, passing on information and dealing with straightforward queries
  • Maintain accurate and organised filing systems
  • Prepare indexes and bundles, including electronic bundles (training provided)
  • Carry out administrative duties including photocopying, scanning and collating documentation
  • Arrange appointments, meetings and diary management tasks
  • Provide general administrative and PA support as required
  • Undertake any additional duties necessary to support the department

Person Specification:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Personal Injury
  • Knowledge and experience of relevant legal software and case management systems, ideally Proclaim
  • Understanding of personal injury processes and procedures
  • Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar skills
  • Strong typing skills, with the ability to produce accurate legal documents efficiently
  • Proven experience preparing legal documentation and correspondence to a high standard
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively within a busy environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Professional, polite and approachable manner with a strong work ethic
