With over 250 staff and a truly paperless, hybrid-working environment, expanding their Family Department and looking for an experienced Children Panel Solicitor to join the Birmingham office.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-resourced and supportive team of Children’s Panel members, Resolution-accredited specialists, and public law experts, with strong supervision and admin support built-in.

Requirements:
Law Society Children Panel accreditation (essential)
A guardian following or ability to attract instructions from Guardians (desirable)
Strong advocacy experience and desire to develop this further
Ability to handle a diverse child care caseload
Commitment to publicly funded work and access to justice
Excellent client care, communication, and case management skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficient with legal technology and remote working tools

Responsibilities:
Manage a varied caseload including public law, child protection, and adoption matters
Undertake advocacy where possible for client consistency
Support junior team members and encourage cross-referral
Collaborate with a dynamic team in delivering exceptional legal services
Contribute to the ongoing development of the department
