Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals? Our client are expanding their Court of Protection team and seeking a Legal Assistant with a passion for justice and empathy for those in need.

As part of this dynamic team, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the affairs and decisions for individuals who lack the capacity to do so themselves. From handling finances to liaising with caregivers, their work is vital and varied, offering you a chance to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client enquiries and gather essential information for further action.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clients, families, and support teams.
  • Support fee earners with care home visits, property management, tax preparations, and more.
  • Handle financial budgets and claims for welfare benefits.
  • Maintain meticulous records to ensure compliance with Deputy Standards.
  • Prepare deputyship accounts and routine correspondence.
  • Provide legal support to our team, assisting with various tasks and client administration.

Person Specification:

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and team skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to build rapport with clients.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and initiative-taking attitude.
  • Cool under pressure, with a knack for meeting tight deadlines.
  • Conscientious, approachable, and enthusiastic about our mission.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with vulnerable individuals is a plus.
