Legal Cashier
- Manchester
- Permanent
- £25,000 - £27,000 per annum
A highly respected, award-winning specialist law firm is looking to recruit a Legal Cashier to join its well-established Accounts Team.
With a strong focus on Court of Protection and Private Client work, this firm is proud to support some of the most vulnerable individuals and their families across the UK. The role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful, varied work within a values-led environment that prioritises quality, empathy, and service.
This is a place where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. The team is supportive and close-knit, and employees are trusted with real responsibility. The firm embraces flexibility and offers hybrid working following a three-month training and induction period, recognising the importance of work-life balance and investing in the tools and support needed to work effectively from home.
The firm offers a generous benefits package including 25 days of annual leave, plus an extra 1.5 days around Christmas. Employees benefit from private health insurance following probation, subsidised gym membership, and life insurance at three times salary. There is a contributory pension scheme in place, as well as performance-related bonuses—including an annual bonus of a week’s salary when firm-wide targets are met. For those working from home, the firm also helps with the provision of IT equipment and furniture to ensure a comfortable, productive setup.
The successful candidate will be joining a busy, seven-person Accounts Team. Reporting to the Team Leader, the role involves varied and often complex tasks including monitoring client and office bank accounts, allocating receipts, making domestic and international payments, and managing payroll for clients who employ care teams. The firm operates over 800 deputy client bank accounts, making the role diverse and intellectually engaging. Other responsibilities include liaising with banks, managing credit and debit card accounts, processing bills and statements, and ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
Applicants should have at least two years of experience in a legal cashiering role, strong attention to detail, and solid organisational skills. Confidence in maintaining digital records and working with Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Experience using the SOS Connect practice management system would be advantageous but is not required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Cashier looking to work in a purpose-driven organisation that values integrity, expertise, and compassion—while also offering the benefits, flexibility, and career development that make a real difference.
