An established regional law firm is seeking an experienced and qualified Solicitor to join their Private Client team in Kidderminster as a Trusts Manager. This senior role offers the opportunity to lead and manage complex trust matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while delivering excellent client service.
You will work closely with solicitors, trustees, beneficiaries, and external advisors to provide expert trust advice and oversee trust administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer a portfolio of client trusts, including discretionary, life interest, and bare trusts
  • Ensure trust deeds, filings, and accounts comply with relevant legislation and regulatory standards
  • Provide expert legal advice on trust law and related matters to clients and colleagues
  • Oversee preparation of trust accounts, reports, and documentation with accuracy and compliance
  • Draft, review, and update trust deeds and associated legal documents
  • Liaise with trustees, beneficiaries, and external parties to ensure effective trust administration
  • Support business development initiatives within the Private Client team
  • Mentor junior solicitors and paralegals involved in trust matters
  • Stay current with changes in trust law, tax regulations, and industry best practices

Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate
  • Proven experience in trust law and trust administration
  • Strong knowledge of the legal and tax implications of trusts
  • Excellent communication and client management skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a complex caseload effectively
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and lead a small team
  • Proficient in legal case management and trust accounting software
