Solicitor - Abuse Compensation Department

Location: Yorkshire, with hybrid working available

Hours: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

The Role

We are looking for a Solicitor to join our CICA team, dealing with Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) claims. The department also handles civil abuse claims, providing an opportunity to develop your career within this specialist area of law.

Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their expertise in this field.

About You

• Qualified solicitor with an interest in developing a career in CICA and abuse compensation claims.
• General Personal Injury litigation experience would be advantageous.
• Previous CICA experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Highly organised, empathetic, and able to deal sensitively with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a caseload effectively.
• Advocacy experience would be beneficial.
• A genuine commitment to providing excellent client care.

About the Department

The Abuse Compensation Department is a specialist team with extensive experience acting for survivors of abuse in both civil and CICA claims. The team handles complex cases and works closely with organisations supporting survivors of abuse and sexual violence.
