About the Company
Our client is a well-established, multi-site professional services organisation with offices across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Compliance Assistant to join their Birmingham office and support the wider compliance function across multiple locations.
The Role
As a Compliance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the business maintains the highest standards of regulatory compliance and risk management. Working closely with the Compliance Manager and operational teams, you will assist with monitoring procedures, maintaining records, and supporting compliance initiatives across the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in compliance, risk, governance, or regulatory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with onboarding and due diligence checks for clients and suppliers.
- Maintaining compliance records, registers, and databases.
- Supporting file audits and internal compliance reviews across multiple offices.
- Monitoring regulatory requirements and assisting with policy updates.
- Ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with company procedures.
- Assisting with AML, KYC, and conflict checking processes where applicable.
- Preparing reports and compliance documentation for management review.
- Supporting compliance training and awareness initiatives.
- Liaising with colleagues across multiple sites to ensure compliance standards are maintained.
- Assisting with ad hoc compliance and risk management projects.
About You
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a compliance, legal, financial services, or regulated environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- A professional and confidential approach to handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of compliance, AML, GDPR, or regulatory processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
