The Role
This is a key position responsible for overseeing the firm's compliance and risk framework. You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, while promoting a strong culture of compliance throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as the firm's Compliance Manager, supporting the COLP and COFA functions
- Ensuring compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations and other applicable legislation
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures
- Managing risk assessments and monitoring internal controls
- Handling compliance queries from across the firm and providing practical guidance
- Delivering training to staff on regulatory and compliance matters
- Conducting file reviews and audits to ensure best practice
- Reporting on compliance risks and breaches to senior management
About You
- Proven experience in a compliance role within a UK law firm
- Strong knowledge of SRA regulations and legal risk management
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
