The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor with circa 7 years' PQE to join a growing and ambitious employment team in London.

This is a senior opportunity for a commercially minded employment lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, with the role offering a Salaried Partner package for the right individual.

You will work closely with a broad range of clients, advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and playing an important role in developing client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the employment practice.

The Role

The successful candidate will advise on a wide range of employment matters, including:

• Employment Tribunal litigation and complex employment disputes
• Discrimination, whistleblowing and unfair dismissal claims
• Senior executive exits and settlement agreements
• Employment contracts, policies and handbooks
• Disciplinary and grievance matters
• TUPE and business reorganisations
• Redundancies and restructuring
• Restrictive covenants and confidential information
• Employment aspects of corporate transactions
• General strategic and day-to-day employment advice
• Supporting clients with risk management and employment strategy

You will have significant client contact and will be expected to build strong, trusted relationships with both existing and new clients.

About You

We are looking for an employment specialist with approximately 7 years' PQE, although applications from candidates with slightly more or less experience will be considered where the overall profile is right.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience across a broad range of employment matters
• A solid background in Employment Tribunal litigation
• Excellent technical and drafting skills
• Strong commercial awareness and an ability to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice
• Experience managing client relationships independently
• The confidence to take ownership of matters and supervise more junior lawyers where appropriate
• A genuine interest in business development and growing a client following
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ambition and ability to operate at Salaried Partner level
