Civil Litigation Executive / Litigator – Housing Disrepair

We're looking for a Civil Litigation Executive / Litigator to join our growing Housing Disrepair team in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident civil litigator with strong Fast Track experience to take ownership of their own caseload and develop their technical expertise within a specialist and supportive team.

Housing Disrepair experience is preferred but not essential we're also interested in candidates with strong civil litigation experience from other areas.

The Role

You'll manage your own caseload from pre-action through to conclusion, including:

  • Developing case strategy and assessing evidence.
  • Managing Fast Track litigation and Court deadlines.
  • Preparing pleadings, statements, and legal correspondence.
  • Advising and communicating with clients throughout their cases.
  • Negotiating settlements and dealing with opponents.
  • Handling Court case management, applications, and hearings.
  • Instructing Counsel where required.
  • Working to departmental SLAs, KPIs and financial targets.

About You

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong civil litigation experience.
  • Fast Track experience – essential.
  • Experience managing your own caseload.
  • Good knowledge of the Court process.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, commercial approach to litigation.

Solicitors, CILEX lawyers and experienced Litigation Executives/Fee Earners are all encouraged to apply.
