Industrial Disease Solicitor (Claimant PI)

Location: Windsor

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

Hours: Full Time - 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Disease Solicitor to join our established and highly regarded Personal Injury team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven claimant solicitor looking to handle high-quality work within a supportive and progressive firm committed to delivering outstanding client care.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload of moderate to high-value claimant Personal Injury matters, with a particular focus on Industrial Disease claims. You will also support partners and senior solicitors on complex and high-value litigation.

The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining exceptional service standards while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Managing your own caseload of claimant Personal Injury and Industrial Disease matters from inception to conclusion
  • Conducting litigation in accordance with procedural and funding requirements
  • Supporting partners and senior solicitors on complex and high-value cases
  • Investigating and understanding medical evidence in the context of PI claims
  • Delivering practical, strategic and client-focused legal advice
  • Managing files efficiently with an understanding of WIP, billing, disbursements and profitability targets
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations and internal quality standards
  • Mentoring and supporting junior fee earners within the team
  • Providing excellent standards of client care at all times

About You

You will be a confident and technically strong solicitor with proven experience handling claimant PI matters.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor with a current unrestricted Practising Certificate
  • Grade A Solicitor with strong experience in Employer's Liability/Public Liability matters
  • Significant claimant Personal Injury litigation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
  • High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of financial performance targets
  • IT proficient, including Microsoft Office and case management systems (Partner for Windows preferred)

Desirable

  • Experience of Trade Union work
  • Previous use of BigHand digital dictation software
