An established law firm is seeking a diligent and proactive Post-Completions Assistant to join its Residential Conveyancing team in Solihull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous post-completions experience who thrives working independently, maintaining organisation, and ensuring the smooth conclusion of property transactions.

The Role

As a Post-Completions Assistant, you will oversee post-completion activities across the residential conveyancing teams, taking full responsibility from completion through to registration and file closure. You will handle routine matters autonomously, liaising with fee earners on complex issues beyond standard procedures.

  • Manage post-completion notices for leasehold properties, including correspondence with landlords and managing agents.
  • Process Land Registry applications to register new owners, including first registrations.
  • Monitor registration applications and manage all related administrative tasks.
  • Promptly distribute completed registration documents to clients and mortgage lenders.
  • Arrange and administer indemnity insurance policies as necessary.
  • Ensure completion balances and outstanding post-completion matters are resolved efficiently.
  • Close and archive files once all post-completion requirements are fulfilled.

About You

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Have prior experience in a post-completions role within a residential conveyancing team.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the post-completion process, including SDLT submissions and Land Registry registrations.
  • Are organised, methodical, and confident in managing their own workload.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines effectively.
  • Can work independently while recognising when to seek guidance on complex matters.
  • Have excellent communication skills and enjoy contributing to a collaborative team environment.

What’s on Offer?

Alongside a competitive salary of £25,000 - £26,000, dependent on experience, you will benefit from a comprehensive package including:

  • 24 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • An additional two days’ leave over the Christmas period.
  • The option to purchase up to three additional days’ annual leave.
  • Participation in an 8% pension scheme (4% employee and 4% employer contributions).
  • Life assurance cover equivalent to four times your annual salary.
  • Health cash plan covering everyday healthcare expenses, including dental, optical, and prescriptions.
  • Access to a Virtual GP service and an Employee Assistance Programme.
