Location: Luton or Leighton Buzzard
Salary: £55,000+
About the Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Care Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE to join an award-winning, Legal 500 recognised law firm with a strong reputation for its Family Law practice.
The successful candidate will join a supportive and experienced Public Family Law team, working from either the Luton or Leighton Buzzard office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about representing vulnerable clients and making a meaningful difference in children and families’ lives.

The Role
You will manage your own caseload of Public Family Law matters, including:

Care proceedings
-
Emergency Protection Orders
-
Interim Care Orders
-
Supervision Orders
-
Special Guardianship Orders
-
Child protection matters
-
Adoption-related proceedings
-
Representation at court hearings and advocacy where appropriate

Liaising with clients, counsel, local authorities, guardians and other professionals
You will be supported by an experienced team while also having the autonomy to manage your own matters.
About You
-
Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.

2+ years’ PQE in Public Family Law / Care work.

Solid understanding of care proceedings and the Children Act 1989.

Confident managing a caseload with appropriate supervision.

Excellent communication, organisation and client care skills.

A compassionate and professional approach when dealing with vulnerable clients.

Children Panel Accreditation would be a significant advantage, but is not essential. Applications are welcomed from candidates who are working towards accreditation or have a genuine interest in achieving it.
