The Opportunity
An established legal practice is looking for an experienced Family Law Solicitor with 8+ PQE to join its London team.
This is a varied opportunity for a solicitor who enjoys working across both privately funded and Legal Aid matters and wants a role where they can take ownership of their caseload and client relationships.
You will handle a broad range of Family matters, including divorce, finances and Children Act work, alongside advocacy and Legal Aid cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of privately funded and Legal Aid Family matters.
- Handling divorce, financial and Children Act cases.
- Undertaking advocacy where required.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers.
- Working closely with colleagues and other fee earners across the firm.
- Keeping up to date with developments in Family Law and relevant legislation.
- Preparing forms, correspondence and applications to a high standard.
- Supporting business development through seminars, workshops, pitches and other marketing activity.
- Contributing towards the team's targets and wider business objectives.
About You
You will be an experienced Family Solicitor with 8+ PQE and a strong track record of managing your own caseload.
You will ideally have:
- Strong experience across private Family Law.
- Experience dealing with divorce, finances and Children Act matters.
- Experience handling Legal Aid work.
- Advocacy experience.
- The ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong client and relationship management skills.
- A proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- A proactive, commercial and client-focused approach.
- Family Law Accreditation with the SRA (essential).
