Senior Residential Property Solicitor / Head of Team

Islington, London | 10+ Years PQE | Permanent | up to £85,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to take the lead of an established team within a well-regarded law firm based in Islington.

This is a senior appointment for someone with 10+ years' PQE who is looking to combine hands-on fee earning with genuine responsibility for the leadership, development and day-to-day management of a residential property team.

The Opportunity

You will continue to manage a quality residential property caseload while becoming a key point of contact for the wider team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the Islington residential property team

• Managing your own residential conveyancing caseload

• Handling complex and high-value residential property matters

• Supervising and supporting junior and mid-level fee earners

• Providing technical guidance and assistance with difficult matters

• Mentoring and developing team members

• Assisting with workload allocation and departmental workflow

• Monitoring deadlines and file progression

• Maintaining excellent standards of client care and service

• Working closely with Partners and senior management

• Supporting business development and the continued growth of the department

• Building a positive, collaborative and supportive team environment

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor with 10+ years' PQE and extensive experience in residential property.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Strong technical residential conveyancing experience

• Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing fee earners

• Excellent client-care and communication skills

• Strong organisational and time-management abilities

• Confidence dealing with complex and high-value transactions

• The ability to balance fee earning with team leadership

• A commercially minded approach

• A natural ability to support, develop and motivate colleagues

• The confidence to work closely with Partners and senior management

You don't necessarily need to have held a formal Head of Department title previously. If you are an experienced Senior Associate or Senior Solicitor ready to take that next step, this could be an excellent opportunity.
